Don't Forget About Your Facebook Business Page

As agents we can easily get distracted with day to day real estate business tasks. Before you know it your Facebook Business page has been forgotten. Don't let it happen. Think of Facebook as another tool to build your business. Here are a few tips to make sure you are interacting with your Facebook LIKES and Friends on your personal page.

1. Log in to Facebook when you log in to email and the Multiple Listing Service. If you access twitter and LinkedIn log in to those tools as well.

2. Sign up to receive news articles via email. Now when a good article is received you can click and Share.

3. Consider using www.houselogic.com/members this great site sponsored by the National Association of Realtors. They've made it easy for agents to share content on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and your blogs. Make sure you have your NRDS number when logging in.

4. Post a few times a day. You can post great articles, information about your local market or even post comments when you are watching your favorite sporting event. Believe it or not being online during the presidential debate could direct people to your twitter account just by getting involved. There were 10.3 million tweets during the debate. It was the most tweeted event in political history per USAtoday.com. With that said, can you imagine what getting involved during the debate go do for your business. I picked up followers just for tweeting. And no you don't have to get involved in politics when you tweet.

5. Be consistent. For the next 10 days post and comment.

6. For the next 21 days log in every day post, comment and make sure you are asking for LIKE's.

7. Send an e-blast to your family, friends and Multiple Listing Service database asking for LIKE's.

8. Make it a goal. Tell everyone on your personal page that you have a goal to reach 100 LIKE's before Thanksgiving. People will love to help you with your goal.

The key to your success will come back to consistency.  Don't get overwhelmed with becomeing a social expert.  Just share, comment and post.  Keep it simple and you will be on your way to having a successful, visited, Facebook Business Page.

  1. Alloting time for the management of your Facebook business page is absolutely important. If possible, put it in your priority list. Schedule an hour or two to manage your page. See to it that you are able to respond to your viewers’ opinions or posts. Also, do not forget to create a relevant, informative, and interesting post.
