Facebook is Testing a New Timeline Layout

Facebook is beta testing a new single column Timeline.  The Timeline view will be located to the left while the activity modules will be located to the right.

With the new format you will no longer see the line down the middle of the timeline.  You will have access to your timeline view in the top right hand section of the Facebook page.  Recent activity can be viewed in the activity modules along with a friends section below.

Why is Facebook working on a change?  With all the feedback users were frustrated with having to look back an forth to view posts. 

According to Mashable Facebook is testing with a small group of users.
