Yep, My teen has the Google Chrome Book

Should you invest in the Google Chromebook?  For only $199.00 grandma, my mom, purchased the Google Chromebook for my teenager as a Birthday/Christmas present.  What a great price for a teenager getting her first laptop.

The Chromebook looks just like a laptop.

The  Chromebook boots in just seconds.  There are no annoying updates and it's easy to learn.  Of which my teenager has already experienced.  Per Google, "Chromebooks are a new type of computer designed to help you get things done faster and easier. They run Chrome OS, an that has multiple layers of security, cloud storage, and the most popular Google products built-in."

In order to use the Chromebook you'll need a gmail account.  Once you create you account just add your wifi connection you are all set to get started.  Since it operates in the cloud you don't have to worry about storing information on your hard drive.  After the first few days of having the Chromebook my daughter has already figured out how to operate in a Google World. My daughter, Lauren has already figured out which products are used to write papers, create slide shows, and take notes.

Kids are so quick to learn.  Here's what Lauren figured out in just a few days:

1. Video chat
2. Create a hangout up to 9 people
3. You can play "Angry Bird" A must for a teen
4. Store your files to a Flash Drive
5. Check email
6. Download apps from the Google Play store
7. Create slide shows, write papers and take notes

So should you invest?  Yes, if you are ready to operate in the cloud, "Go for it".  If you have a student this product is a great inexpensive way to have access to a computer or maybe if you are on a tight budget.  Go to your local retailer to learn more or when you click now to learn more.
